Default Agreed Valuation Insurance

Well its that time of year again...
Just had the renewal through for the saph, and im happy with the price etc. but i want to make sure i am covered if the worst happens.
My problem is my car is not an 'RS' its just a replica.
However it probably owes me £20k+
to build another to the same spec if it got nicked would probably end up somewhere close to that figure too.
So how do i go about getting an agreed valuation? obviously the RSOC do this, but its not an RS so i dont think i am going to get anywhere....
cheers.

An RS owners agreed value would never amount to what you spent on it anyway! I had mine valued and they told me they can't take all your mods into account and can only value it as a good clean saff. So valued it at 8 grand which wouldn't even replace the engine lol. Need to insure valued it on photos and proof of what's been spent

Ah ok, Maybe i need to speak with Paul Bostrom directly then, the girl who answered the phone said they need an independent valuation from the owners club or similar.
Cheers.

That's what I was told so joined the club got the valuation and said to them I need to insure it for more than that. So they said ok we will discard that and do it another way

I have always had an agreed value on my 2wd Sapphire for the last 19 years, every 2 years I increase the amount as what you have to think is what would it REALLY cost to replace it to the same specification as it is now. Shop around until you find an insurer who will give you a proper agreed value.
Mine is £21,000 but it would probably cost more than that in real terms if it was stolen or written off.
