Hello i have just done an engine change on an escort bouns (yes i know ) to a RS turbo engine bla bla bla and the right engine number etc was used but on the logbook it has come back as a 1.6 should it say 1.6 turbo etc ? any help or advise would be brill thanks

 

Just 1600cc.just done the same on my Rs to a 1998cc

 

Should just say 1596cc as it's only the capacity they are interested in.

 

1596 is correct but 1.6 is near enough, its simply for taxing purposes as stated above

it won`t say turbo ,

 

You lot are stars thanks, just i have seen people going on about theres coming back as a 'bonus turbo' and i thought arrrrrr more letters lol. Thanks very much for your time people

 

Shouldn't come back as anything other than a Bonus. Doesn't matter what you stick under the bonnet
it can and only ever will be a Bonus.

 

I know mate its a race car build the shell, i had a RS escort but used the bits from it and crushed it as the tin worm had taken over and made a unreal race car
