Just an idea at the moment and wouldn't be implemented till after the end of the race season but does anyone know of company that would cut me a custom set of ratios for the T5 Gearbox?
The current selection of ratios available aren't really what i'm after and i'd like to fine tune a set to engine output.
I know one off manufacturing isn't cheap, but this would make a real difference to the way car performs on a Hillclimb.
Cheers Rich

DJM above would be best local option
GForce in the states already offer some ratios

Samsonas do some "universal" rwd dog and sequential gearboxes with a variety of ratios

Universal seems to mean a BMW fitment with an adaptor.
I think SQS used to do some T5 stuff, but havent seen anything listed for some time

A diff swap not get you near where you need to be ? Certainly be a lot easier and cheaper ?
Or try and hunt down a Tractive gearbox ?

Got to stay a T5 casing (due to regs) can do what ever I want to the internals (can't put sequential in thou
)I'll give DJM a look thou

Long first is great !
Or are the hills really tight ?
But a long first typically means the actual gearset will be much closer spaced so better for racing with a narrower power band. Likewise fitting a shorter diff will have a similar effect. Just be careful you dont go too short and end up spending all day changing gear. That's fine with a sequential, not so much with a synchro box unless it is pretty slick.
Gearboxman does some stuff too

Great bloke to speak to, for one off pairs expect around £700 plus vat.
Don't bother ringing the Q word mfr.
The T5 ratios will be fine on your car mate with the 4.3.
