Default RS turbo.. Desperate Help required..CUTTING OUT

Hello ,

Sorry to come in with anther 'its cutting out ' problem but i'm really annoyed at it now..

long story short : 86' Series one RS , rebuilt , standard ECU's , new dizzy , leads etc.

Was running / driving but now its cutting out , sometimes after 1 minute sometimes after 10 but it always starts.

12v direct to Coil - checked - still cuts out

Wires wiggled - still cuts out

No obvious air leaks / broken pipes.

Im starting to think metering unit maybe ? odd that seems to be linked to pressing in the clutch pedal tho.

If anyone can help i would be very greatfull ..or if theres a contact local to portsmouth ill happy pay for some expert help.

i can provide more details if that helps.

Thank you very much, Pete

check the wiring up near the clutch pedal area etc. Make sure the battery terminals are definately tight.

When it won't start, does it have a spark? Hall sender failure possibly (in the distributor)

edit - Didn't see you had a new dizzy

Does it have fuel?

Need to know what it's losing before guessing which bits to fit..

Also check where the ignition switch plugs into the loom incase the terminals have got hot and melted.
