Default What brakes for standard sapph wheels

Anyone on here run bigger brakes on standard 15"wheels?
My sapph is a way off being finished but want to keep original wheels if possible, every sapph I see has comps or similar and I've been there on my last one.
Will be stage 3 to start with and may see a little track use at the ring so better brakes are a must

I asked the same thing and the answer was to use the cosworth calipers 2rm. In Spain it is very difficult to find this model.

Yeah looks like anything decent will be hard to find, I know an AP kit fits but don't know how good it would be standard size, expensive too and the last AP setup I had wasn't as good as I thought it should be

Cheers mate yes have looked at that, pricey though.
Looks like anyone with standard wheels must be running standard brakes, apart from ap setup I've found nothing, might have to go that way.

I'm pretty sure someone does a kit that runs bigger discs and std calipers. There a brackets to raise the std calipers. Speak to martin Holland when he is back on the 11th.

Let me know what they say,

I have the same problem been looking for a kit to fit under 15's on my cortina. I not really sure if its worth spending big money on a kit when the disc size is limited to 305mm, not really sure if the extra braking force comes from the calliper or increased disc size. I know the 330mm Ap kit is very common on cosworths and every one says how there so much better than standard.

I was told by a very experienced tuner use Ap or don't bother, just run std callipers with good pads.

Easy on a Cortina almost anything will fit. I have had 283mm cosworth 2wd discs with mondeo single piston calipers which worked well. under 15"s. Then I had focus RS discs and calipers under 18"s and now run 350mm and brembo calipers from a Porsche.

Pug 406 coupe brembo calipers have the same hole spacing as a Cortina and can use a 280mm ish disc for a great set up.

Take a look at this
