Default Bleeding KA brakes

Hi everyone

This is a bit of a dumb request, but can anyone tell me how to bleed the rear drums of a bog standard 2002 KA? I can't find a nipple or anything on the drum, i've looked at them closely. The fronts are no problem, but I cant work out how to do the rears...

Any help gratefully received...

David

If you look at the back, you will see where the brake hose goes into the cylinder, next to that will be the nipple!

Are you ok bleeding brakes, it is vital that it is done correctly for obvious reasons?

There will be a small cylinder on the top of the drum. Its about 3 inches long.
Just follow the brake pipes the nipple sticks out the back.If there is no nipple on the cylinder ,it's probably been snapped off when someone tried to bleed them.
New cylinder about £10 each.

Thanks very much for your help Yes, i've bled brakes a few times before using an Ezi-bleed, and I haven't crashed yet so I must be doing something right (touch wood) I always follow the correct sequence for bleeding brakes on any car...

And you are correct - One side has the nipple, the other one doesn't, so someone has obviously snapped it off....

Is it tricky to fit a new one? They don't need to be done in pairs do they?

Many thanks...

Fit a new cylinder if the blead nipple is snapped, damaged, missing etc.

As above roughly £10 for the part. Piece of mind is priceless

Easy to fit.Just 2 10mm bolts hold the cylinder and a brake pipe, although you have to strip the drum down, shoes and fiddly springs off.
About 30 minutes for a beginner.

Note:don't have to be done in pairs, although if the seals had failed I would be changing both.
