I've looked at a few previous posts on here about this and haven't been able to come to a conclusion

Seems there is an option for mk5 escort, mk2 mondeo and mk1 focus

Of all 3 I think I'd be inclined to go with the focus as it's newest but who's done what with what results idealy it would be what's the easiest thing to just bolt on and work with my existing lines?

I think mine might be leaking or blocked so i though might aswell upgrade it while I'm at it

I assume so but im sure I read it was no longer available and any excuse for an easy upgrade

 

I've fitted the servo & master cylinder to mine from a late model mk6 escort as that had the four ports on it like the standard item.
It was easy enough to modify the mounts to fit it & to tweek the original lines to bolt to it.

Only downside is I don't know how well it'll work yet as my cars still in bits so I can't tell you if it's been worth the effort up to now.

yep you just have to widen a few holes....probably lose your strut brace tho..i did in the Fiesta...

 

I've got the mk3 Mondeo one fitted to my series 1, had to extend the brackets at the rear face where it meets bulkhead and redrill, also you have to use a s2 crossover bar as the s1 are thinner

Then a case of using a corsa c 1.0non abs distribution block and make new lines

I also added a willwood bias as I have rear discs

 

Well it looks like I'm going to go down the mk2 mondeo route 👍

 

Did you use the mondeo servo? Was it easy to convert?

Im pretty sure I used the Mk2 Mondeo servo too and just looked through parts books until I found a suitable master cylinder with standard RST Piston size. The common replacement was the non RS master cylinder which had a smaller piston and gave a slightly spongy pedal.

I welded on a couple of brackets to widen the standard Mondeo mount, wan't hard. However the brakes bound slightly when hot, having thought about it a little I think the master cylinder wasn't fully closing which means I need to adjust the servo rod length a little. I also seem to remember spinning the servo round by 180deg so the vac hole was in the same place as the originoal (or atleast close).

I'm sure I have some pics somewhere!
