is it possible to change from the right one to the left one?



where is the D+ on the left had one? i can only see a W? have onnected the B+ the same and the D+ to the W, i ask as the brand new one i have bought is the same as the left one and the battery light is still on

 

i have found this

B+ or Batt ,Main output
B- or E to negative (earth)
D+ to alternator warning lamp this is L on Lucas alternators
F goes to the regulator
W to Tachometer (or sometimes a small jack plug)
B+ and B- may also be connected to the case via a supressor

but i cant find an L on the alternator although it is RTX copy not lucas

 

RTX? It'll last a month or so if your lucky

 

is there 3 spades on the replacement ?

are RTX that bad then? gets me out of a hole tho so sod it

yer D+ W and 3 spades 2 large one small no letters but im lead to believe the small spade is WL (warning light)

yes small spade to blue wire on loom near starter motor

small spade= blue wire warning light . two big spades = battery + . go to top bolt on starter if i remember correctly- three pin plug your new alternator has is shit thats why ford superseeded it to bolt terminals like the alternator on the right . w = rev counter take off
