hi guys, I have a mk1 escort, been off the road for an eternity and I have come to start restoration, and tried to apply for a logbook with dvla, but only have chassis numbers and plates etc. they all tie up, but dvla don't have any records of the car as its been off the road too long. they say I need to apply for an age related mark, but need as much evidence as possible to prove the cars age etc.
is there a registrar on here or similar that could put something on club headed paper so I can send off the application?
I have de coded the vin platefrom a website page which says its a british built car, 2 door, white 1100cc built in 1974, but think some "back up" from an official would be helpful.
please respond if anyone can help. desperately trying to keep a mk1 alive here:
