You can demist the screen on rainy day's and it can help prolong a day if you're having overheating problems

i removed all of my heater box and the first track day i did with it out was raining. i used anti fog but it was no use. on my own with a window open a little it was just about ok but with a passenger i could only get a few laps in before the windows were to misty to continue. what iv done now is connect a 4 inch hose from the hole where the matrix pipes go through and up to the windscreen vent. iv yet to try it on a wet track day but there is a low amount of air flowing over the screen so i think it will do the job. if it doesnt im just going to put a 100mm 12v fan in for arounf Ł25 which would solve all the probs

Don't bother, if racing then maybe but just for a track car then keep it.

theres fuck all point taking the heater motor out, the weight saving is about 1kg, keep it in the engine bay bulkkhead and just make an on/off swithc via a relay for full speed aith trunking to the screen. 1.5kg MAX, thats the weight of a good wank and a shit the night before a trackday!!

i dont run a heater in my puma, which is my only car, and although it has a heated screen it can still be a pain in the arse. if its cold the car steams up without fail. i have to keep a window cracked and thrash the heated screen constantly. ive had cars without heaters before and its always a bit of a pain but managable.

the overheating issue is one to consider though. if your car runs hot then id probably not bother as itll not help things. its not just the fact you have a 2nd heat exchanger but the added volume of coolant helps in its own right.

all depends on how hardcore you want to go i suppose.
