It could be perceived as Fronting. The real question is who will be the actual main driver.

If the POLICY holder drives it more than the second driver, then it's fine.
However, if the secondary driver spends more time behind the wheel, then no - it isn't.

If the policy holder isn't the registered keeper, then the Insurers need to know.
Insurance companies (believe it or not) do apply a modicum of common sense - for example, with married couples sharing a car - they don't worry too much about who drives it more - they base their price on the greater risk driver anyway.

Read the terms of the particular policy as they can differ. A lot will state that the main driver must be the registered keeper. They usually ask if your the registered keeper when you take the policy out anyway. If you say yes and it turns out your not, then there's every chance they could void it in the case of a theft or something

exactly what has been said before mate you would need to make the insurance company aware of this , if its husband and wife its usually fine. but you cant technically insure something you dont own .....that said the log book doesnt prove ownership lol . say for example you were 18 and you bought the car but put the car in your mums name to insure because she gets the better rate and add you as a named driver thats fronting . alot of insurers would turn it away some companies wont care and do it anyway but as long as you cover yourself you will be fine
