Default whats these hand prints marks?

hi. iv been getting these hand marks on the car for a few yrs and they dont clean off.i can only remove then with polish. scrubbing does nothing. they do my head in. i know it must be my 7yr old daughter but what she got on her hands?is she secreting some weird stuff or what. my wife thinks it suncream but anyone suffered the same?

The thing I would suggest is to try and get a good sealer on the car, obviously it won't stop the marks but it should make them a lot easier to clean off !

thanks all. i started g3 on them yest but it rained before i could finish. iv got meguires tech wax 2.0. would that help seal it? im not good on polish or waxes.

if i was you i would cut it right back with something like Megs 105/205 combination then use a good wax, collinite 845 is a good hard wax. maybe top it off with AF Toughcoat before you wax it

Yup, suncream - Other than cutting it back I don't think there is a way to remove it. My kids know they are banned from going any where near my car if they have suncream on! If you ever do the school run check out the 'mum taxis' all of them are covered with suncream handprints!

i have them on my car and my missus car and its defo not suncream on mine...scotland lol...

It's a combination of sweat, skin care products (like sun cream, hand cream etc.) and sunlight. Will have the same effect to the paint like bird droppings. Depending on make, color and quality of paint this combination can destroy the paint within a short period of time. Sometimes a new paintwork is the only cure.

3 ms yellow finishing polish yellow pad
