Sounds like it clipped a park car just before it comes into sight and hits the on coming car. I think it was a cossi powered s1 too

 

he's slowing down, obviously because the guy taking the video is expecting him to be going much faster, and then all of a sudden it sort of crosses the lanes and hits another car coming the other way

some folks have all sorts of ideas but i'm just basing my findings on what the video shows, which is an accident caused by the s1 driver seemingly losing control at 20 mph

I've watched it a few times (I heard before watching the vid that the S1 was RWD), looks like he just boots it and goes sideways, I can't offer any other explanation apart from maybe a momentary lack of concentration, texting, on phone etc...

Funny about the rubbish you read on forums though, the last thread I saw it claimed that someone had pulled out in front of him, certainly doesn't look anything like it.

 

It does seam like he's spinning up then clips the black car and it snatches back on towards the audi, but as said it don't look like he's going full beans so its just a bit of bad luck really

If you listen to the sound up loud you'll hear first gear boost then 2 nd gear boost, and it sounds like he might have hit something ( like sideways scrape into a parked car) then he lifts off and it turns him right into on coming traffic.

Whatever it was it's not clever!

I'd be gutted and feel sorry for the guy but no way was he doing 20mph you hear him coming on boost then he lets off seeing the other car pull out!

Watching the vid on Facebook again he was giving it loads and clipped the black car parked on the left then let off and hit the other car that was coming the other way! Not good

I was told by those in the know the S1 driver admitted liability for the incident so fair play on that count but as for judging his actions its not for me to comment as its none of our business

You make me chuckle Dojj. How can bumping into someone car be totally innocent & harmless . Show your car by all means but stay off that bit of road cos this always happens. Wonder if he thinks its clever at this point in time but he sure as hell did at the time.

 

Some damage done for a low speed bump & seeing the s1 cossie should make everyone think about what they are doing when putting cossie engines in these cars with the potential to do 150 mph plus its not took it well at all

 

Was it cossied? According to a car check it's still an rs turbo on the log book.

Wonder what his insurance will say when they see the clips.

Looks to me as if he rear end side swiped that dark coloured astra gsi just before the impact.

Didnt look very fast at all but i hope all involved are ok.

Shame about that though. Saw some pics of the S1. front end looks like it hit something going a lot faster.
