Funny enough neither did I till I tryed pulling the old loom out after I disconnected everyting and wasn't to happy as it got to dark in the garage to see so I had to snip the wires off and call it a say, lucky bagings something said there just like a pin holding them in so an easy swap for me

just got the turbo lump to come out and ill be very happy.

not to happy the lad I bought it off rounded off some on the nuts! Lucky some were easy but still got two rounded off that anit plaing ball. Why don't people use the correct size torx bits?

Yeah but in the case of one of them easyer said than done, I think im gonna have to cut the front bumper off then cut the bolt off from the outside.

Yeap I think the mk4 had its day. Bad thing is once I stripped the mk5 out I found a split in the floor from rust and a split in the drivers door well, which I know what its caused by silly ford drainjng the roof into the cills from the sun roof at least its an easy fix just hope the mk5 is nice underneath if not im gonna start swearing.

Well after thinking over tonight about what im doing next with the car I realised that its got something that some of the mk4/5 lads have been doing as std.
different top plates lol.

Name: 20140421_170914_zps3f669d6e.jpg

So ill be keeping them and cleaning them up and get my painting on lol.

also forgot to say I got all the engine bay loom out aswell yesterday and lucky the lad did remove most of the pluming off the engine so all ive really got to do is disconnect he pas pipe exhuast torque link and gear linkage and she will be ready for the engine to come out.

Well got a little bit done today but only spent 2 hours on the car as its hard as hell to work in the dark and got abit fed up working in the dark so gave up at half eight.

Cleaned up the inside of the car abit (still needs vacuum)
cleaned up all grounds in side car.
stripped door looms out.
remove water tank and backing plate from engine bay.
removed heater matrix core.
removed torque link.
removed gear linkage and stick.
Removed cat and exhuast system.
cracked all engine bay nuts and bolts.
removed rear suspension top mounts and cracked bottom bolts.
removed two bolts and cracked two bolts/nuts for fuel tank.
removed spare wheel holder.
removed ecu holder and other little bits and bobs from inside the car.

So now all I have to do is disconnect the pas pipe and remove driveshafts and the engines free to come out, Fuel tank I need light to see the nuts on the last two for the fuel tank and that can come off and I need power so I can clean the inside properly and start bolting everyting in.

Fuel lines look like there gonna be a real git to get off whole so im just gonna snap the derv lines off and just fit all new rubber lines when I fit the petrol fuel tank.

I've nearly finshed this car but really im not even half done! As ive still got to strip the mk4 then rebuild the mk5 then rebuild the mk4 as a rolling shell so I can get it out.

Well some more work done today not a massive amount done just playing with some ideas.
ive refitted carpet roof lining front trim full dashboard. Also turns out I had to remove the mk5 pedal box and fit the mk4 pedal box! Which was a massive pain and for some reason ford made mk5s harder to remove than mk4s and mk4s look like thay was designed to last but mk5 looked like thay was designed to round off nuts!
also fitted internal loom and light did up grounds. Also fitted drivers seat.

Well abit more done today not alot on the mk5.
fitted poly windows
fitted tail lights
fitted mk4 boot with mk5 spoiler (mk4 boot in better nick but mk5 spoiler better)
fiited pas bucket seat
fitted new gear linkage and puma gear knob
fitted rear strut brace
Fitted rear zs bumper and towing eye.

I think that's about it I spent most of my time filling up the mk4 with the mk5 stuff, So now all ive got to think about on the mk4 is engine bay and suspension and brakes.

Right not much done lately but did get some done yesterday.

Started to remove all the derv fuel lines and derv tank and found two of the bolt that hold the tank on just spin around so ive had to drain the tank and im leaving it a few days then filling with water to cut the bolts off (safety first lol)
while swearing at the fuel tank and kicking the shit out of it I noticed I could still pretty much do all the undersealing so the car now has been undersealed 95% (under front sub frame and fuel tank legs not done), While under the car I only found one spot of rust thats just on a silly flap for the wheel arch liners so when I cut the tank out ill cut the flap off and paint with anit rust paint.

Also all the cars wiring is now sorted with power getting to everything as it should.

Also ive remove nuts and top plates from the front and rear shocks so there near enough ready to come off.

List of things left to do.
Cut of fuel tank
remove last of fuel lines
cut off rust
remove derv engine and gearbox
remove whole suspension
fit engine with gearbox
fit new front suspension and brakes and wheels
remove rear suspension off mk4 and fuel system
remove mk5 rear suspension and refit mk4 suspension
refit petrol fuel system
fit coolant system
fill engine gearbox brake system and coolant system up with fuilds
connect engine harness to main enginebay loom
Fit cat back exhuast.
fit side skirts
cut off old front bumper
refit new front bumper
refit gear linkage
buy mk5 pedalbox
buy mk5 headlights
buy mk5 front upper grill
buy replacement pas shock
buy replacement clutch realse bearing
fit that lot
insure car
send car for mot to fail lmfao
book trackday.

oh and do all of it over the next two weeks lmfao.

Yeah, mostly now I need to rebuild the front of the mk4 so I can lower the front down and jack the rear up to get the last of the stuff I need off, which lucky it will/should slide on to the mk5 easy.

Well alot of swearing has happened these last few days, mk4 fuel system is totally shot! And the rear brake lines on the mk5 are shot! And my rear shocks and springs are shot after 1 trackday!

But I have got abit of work done, ive rebuilt the front suspension on the mk4 and got the rear end up and stripped all the suspension off and exhuast which all but the rear beam is now on the mk5 which im changing tomorrow when I fit the engine and gearbox, I've also put the std shocks back on the mk4 so now all it needs is the std rear beam and it can go to the scrap yard, I've also taken off the mk4 rear brake lines and fitted it to the mk5 which the mk4s are in 10x better condition.

So all ive got to do now is buy
whole fuel system
two rear shocks
One front shock
new set of springs
hire engine hoist
engine oil
gearbox oil
coolant
Brake fuild
petrol
and fit
Engine and gearbox
fuel tank and lines
rear beam
and nearly a whole new suspension
and fill up with fuilds and the cars done!

Everything bought but petrol and ill hire hoist tomorrow and just waiting on suspension and fuel system to turn up now. Soon she be ready for the track again as long as my missus don't find out how much I spent lol which she seen the bills for fuilds and slapped me for spending Ł95 and then hit me again when I spent Ł25 on nuts and bolts lol, hopefully the car will be running by the end of this week

Suspension turned up this morning and I hired a hoist today and fitted the engine and gearbox in and fitted pas lines to rack the connected all coolant hoses and connected pas lines to pump and filled up pas pump with fuild and gearbox and coolant system but couldn't do engine as wrong oil filter but got exhaust system conneted and fitted all new suspension that came bare so had to strip my shocks down first and got the pas brakes on.

only things left to do is rear beam and oil change and filled and bleed brake system and wait for the fuking fuel system!

also bad side I smashed my cooling fan fitting the engine and gearbox so got to get a new one.
