Mk1 Focus RS
hi guys, i used to have an account on here for years but never posted, ive recently turned 18 and thought i'd make a new account and start a little thread not much will be happening well big changes untill i pass my test but in the near future should be some good plans,
ive never really introduced mself on here so i will quickly do it now, ever since the mk1 FRS's came out i always wanted one, and my dad got one when they came out, i learned to drive it when i was 9, and that was the first time i ever drove and loved it ever since i have drove cars, jeeps, trucks etc, unfortuniatly i lost my dad in 2008 due to a lorry driver driving into him head-on, just south of berwick, i always told him i'd own a mk1 focus rs, and on my 18th, my mam(who survive in the collision) told me i had money left behind and i got some on my 18th and was already looking at cars before i found out, i looked at ibiza cupra's corsa vxr, and a few other little things, then i noticed my mate had his mk1 up for sale in a garage for £9,495 and i knew it was looked after with only 51k on as a 52 plate,
i went to view it a few times, and i new i had to have it, so the following week, wednesday 5th on feb, i went over and bought it, never ever looked back since, yeah i havent passed my test and i'm only 18 but ive always wanted one and my dream came true,
so anyway here's when i looked at the car -

Really nice car man, so sorry to hear about your dad, I know you've been driving from a young age and I'm sure your know your stuff but do be careful in the rs, if I had been driving a car as quick as the rs when I had first past I'm sure I'd have wrapped it round a tree, good luck with the insurance and be safe
Congratulations on the car. Sorry for the loss of your dad.
I got my focus rs at 21, and tbh it's lethal. ( I've had 250bhp rs turbos, civic type r, mr2 , 220bhp ibiza turbo etc etc )
The quaiff diff makes them an animal on the road.
Good luck

Thats a great tribute to your Dad, and a lovely motor to be driving (when you pass) as your first car. as said make sure your careful when you first get to drive it, and everytime you think about putting your foot down to race your mates, or have a chance to open her up make sure that you think as your car is as much your first car, as a tribute to your father. At a young age (and i've been there) you dont realise the potential of the car outways the skill of the driver.

To put in in perspective, I've not had a Ford since about 2006......... Yet I'm still on here most days because of the quality projects.
I'm on the MLR of course, but there isn't a projects section, and you still have massive snobbery if you're not rolling in cash
I also tried pistonheads, but my car got SLATED because I modified a Tommi Makinen Edition, and eventually it was all personal insults calling me a chav
So, even though I've not got a Cossie now, I still venture on here to keep up with the brave souls who still do.

Nice car that. I will be honest cause im not a lover of wrapped cars but that looks well.
Sorry to hear about the horrible story about your dad.
I lost my mam nearly 2 years ago and she loved my cossie and this is one of the reasons I still have it today.
I hope the insurance wont be too dear for you.

Yes the left one is straight down as said ^^ quick fit to test and I have no sorted them, also got the original plates transferred over although I have just bought another set of private ones and will be getting plates mate soon
