Default metering head

Hi guys. Been stripping the front end down this evening for new x member, front panel and engine bay spray. Engines nearly out

when I took the intake pipe off the bottom of the meter head I had a bit of fuel trickle out!
I have just fitted a new intercooler as the old one was cracked and leaking air so I know when I road tested the car it was running very rich, just a bit concerned about fuel at the bottom of the metering head- would it be split gasket or o ring inside the head???

Furthermore dies anyone know where you can buy replacement gasket for meter head??

Thanks in advance for any help.

No, there shouldn't be fuel in there, metering unit is leaking.

That company maybe able to help you but the gasket they supply is for the air box section. Where the two parts split on Metering unit, not the fuel distributor it's self.

If your talking about this gasket then that will not solve a fuel leak mate...

I was looking for a gasket set as I will have to take the head apart to rectify the issue and thought it would be good to put back together with new.

Karlos, firstly where can I buy a set like the picture and more importantly do you have an idea of the cause of my problem??

The image above is what ywk parts supply but they no longer list it on the shop.. maybe out of stock. I've never personally taken the distributor apart to see what's needed but kml are worth a try. There are few companies that rebuild the whole units for around £400. Full recon

Found this with a quick search, amazed me I have been looking for this kit for years.
I have about five 'spare' distributors and the bastards all leak.
You need to be real careful taking them apart and probably best take photos.
Looks to be a pain to put back together but I have at least one that I know worked well
before it sprung a leak. The others, I would have no idea how to recalibrate.
anyhow link to the kit(it's from the states but never found anyone here willing to supply such a thing)
