Could be a build up of bacteria in the air-con evaporator, get the AC on , hot for a while see if it improves.

Default Kuga smells damp

hi Darren I had trouble with my 2010 Kuga and there was water getting down through the chassis rails and some how into the storage compartments under the carpets in the rear foot wells the garage took a couple of days to find it by taking the front wings off and keeping a hose pipe onto the front of the car, They fixed it by using a different sealer somewhere on it to stop and had to have new carpets and sound proof as they didn't dry out well and because it was still in warranty, just lift the rear carpets and the compartment covers and have a look hope this helps, Cheers nipper.1

I thought this would be a post about an older woman preying on younger men and getting a bit damp.
