Default Ford fiesta zetec s

Hi, I'm looking into buying a 2005 ford fiesta zetec s. when I went to see the car, when started and pushing the accleteor in it make a quick 'sucking' noise I think it's where the car is sucking the air in, is this normal for this car and can anyone back it up as the dealer said its ment to make the noise

Thanks

Petrol or diesel. If its a diesel it could be a split boost hose.

It petrol. .. I did think it was just were the air filter Is 'sucking' air in. My dad didn't believe me and what's a mechanic to check the noise out before getting it.

I'd go with your dad's suggestion if your in any doubt and take a mechanic with you. You don't want to end up buying into a car with a load of problems.
Did it do it only when you had just started it or every time you revved it? How did the car drive?
Welcome by the way.

Well every time you revved it, but lasted like 2 seconds? Well we going to try get a mechanic to come see it and test drive it as well.

That sounds more like an induction noise or an aftermarket air filter. Or it could at worst, be a loose hose eg: clip not done up tight enough, but doesn't sound like a major problem
