Default Saph jacking points - are any replacements available ?

Hi ,

I am after buying some new jacking points to weld in my Saph - mine are in a sorry state and need tidying , I want to keep the original look and not just weld plates around them ,

Does anyone know of anywhere I can buy some genuine ford or is there anywhere that has copied them ?

Thanks

I think it's a case of getting a metalworker to remake them?

Ive read/seen on a few restos that people cut holes in the floor above the jacking points then knock the jacking points out into shape.

Chop out the floor and give it a good bashing!

just get a body shop to use a pin welder on them to weld pins on and slide hammer them down into shape, cutting the floor to get too them is a bit extreme unless the floor is rotten anyway

Thanks for the replies , the floor isn't rotten just the jacking area is a mess from previous owners , I have a pin puller from when I used to do bodywork will give it a go,
Would think the metal would be too tough for the puller but will try before cutting the floor , have to do it this winter otherwise I will probably never do it !

Thanks again very helpful !

Definitely a job I plan to do on my sapphire - it bugs me when I look at them, the dented state of them. If I go to a tyre place, I tell them where to put the trolley jack. I wont let them near car on their own.

I had the same problem on my saff. I tried pulling & beating them out but they were abit crusty and f**ked with 24years of being jacked wrong & abused.lol.
I ended up using a piece of 50x50x2 box section, hours of cutting, welding, shaping & drilling holes to match the original.
First one took around 6 hours to get it looking right - but they are mega strong & look spot on.

Not sure if the weld on pin puller things would work

I had to beat the crap out of mine with a rectangular steel bar and club hammer.

Came out alright in the end though...
