Default 2001 zetec s phase 2

Had the car only a few weeks now just back from a long drive and just before I got home my car felt like I had a puncture so I stopped had a look and there was no puncture but a kind of burning smell check oil coolant everything I could thing off ( not mechanically minded just to let uses all no I don't have a clue) anyway I drove it next minute the engine management light is on and when the car is driving it sounds like a helicopter there's a lot of vibration it feels like your trying to go up a hill in fifth gear and it's about to stall I agave no idea the engine management light comes on then flashes when I don't accelerate does anybody have any idea what this could be this is my first car just want to know what's wrong with it

What mark is it?

Where did you get it from, if a garage get it straight back there.

Sounds serious mate. Do you or any of your mates have a fault reader to say when the management light is coming on.

I have one but not had this issue.

I will ask my mate and see what he says.

The only way I can describe it is it's like if your trying to go up a hill in a high gear and the car starts to shudder and the exhaust sounds like a helicopter :/

I have replied to your other post.

I have one is these but not had this issue. I have sent a note to my mate to look at one of your posts to see if he has an idea, he has helped me a lot with mine.

We are only down the road from you in Grangemouth.

Would need to hear it to be able to say.

Once your mate has been round, if you are no further forward, then let me know and we could pop up to listen.

Sorry I could not do any more.

could be any number of things but go through the basics first such as checking the plugs and HTs then connection plugs & contacts on the lambda sensors x2 and if no joy get a pro to take a look before spending any money

Would not be there before your mate. He should have more tools and knowledge than I have.
Let us know what happens.

Coil pack has a habit of going on the mk4 and 5 Fiesta. The coil pack distributes the spark to the plugs at the correct time. If it fails the car will shudder not idle smoothly, will have little power etc
