I used to deal with those guys when I worked at Maranello. There was a bloke called Matthew who worked there with a moonstone 3door and a track/race prepped fiesta...

I have worked on a few ferarri Daytonas and we had a F40 in with less than 6k on the clock still on its original tyres.

There are some cool cars out there and the F40 uses the same weber marrelli ecus and sensors as a cossie 1 ecu for each bank lol

Very nice!

Although a shame they used so much filler and primer on the bodywork. The original cars had printthrough on the paint from the carbon weave and IMO that is part of the attraction of a no compromise performance car.

Also why the pikey chopped strand matt in thier laminating?? theyve gone to the effort of using carbon and matching the EXACT carbon/kevlar 8HS weave pattern then used pikey cheap csm hidden underneath!! for the sake of a few hundred quid on a £100k rebuild i would of expected them to use advanced composites throughout.

About 6k for each end 'clam', iirc! And many hours getting them to fit properly, as being hand made, every car was different and a complete fuck to get panels to lign up.

Got to agree, seeing the carbon through the paint just proved how hardcore the car was.

I agree with you there, this is up there with like most people one of my all time favorite cars. Remember when i was a boy having an F40 1/18th model and dreaming what it would be like to drive a real one. Shame there all left hand drive though (well all but 7 which were converted from new for the Sultan of Brunai the greedy git haha)
