I can understand that insurance would be horrific if spectators went but I'd love to watch this at some point.

Its actually called Vmax quicksilver this weekend.
Ive tried advertiseing this event for about 5 years with zero interest.

Love the 1000bhp Ultima just cracking 200mph must have had his brakes on. Even a Sierra Cossie needs less than 750 to run that speed .

The Porsche goes into second spot all time at Vmax with that run thats about what a 1000bhp car should do .

I think a Ford from here was going to enter not sure if it did.

This is the best event for showing off your car & its Power lets hope we can get my Cossie in the mix in 2014.

 

Too many damn supercars, it's a shame there isn't less expensive stuff going for it, would make it interesting.

There's a pagani zonda there, looking awesome in yellow! I was also wondering if it was that fella Brad's V10 R8 as there's one that's flip painted but thought he'd changed his.

Whilst barring a lottery win I'll never own anything remotely capable of being competitive at an event like this as a car geek I love it.

 

Keeping an eye on facebook aswell, some really nice cars aswell, I emailed for info about today but didnt hear any thing back

 

I emailed to be a marshall when they advertised on FB few weeks back but didn't hear anything

 

There are usually cars tonking along in the 170's which is 400bhp Cossie territory. Not seen the entry for this but i doubt its all Supercars.

 

As it's invite only they pick and choose who goes. I remember a few years ago Bill Brockbank going in his Seat Ibiza with IHI turbo conversion, everyone laughed at his little yellow shopping car but after a few runs of beating Ferraris and Astons some wouldn't line up against him.

 

Did Badger tell you that he sometimes talks a fast car . If your going to come on here dissing an event I love & take an interest in, best to get your facts right. Only one Seat Ibiza has ever entered Vmax it came 28th with 162mph on 20-11-2005 dont think too many Supercars were shaking in there boots . Its not invite only anyone can enter but you will need to follow Craig on Pistonhead to know when to apply.

 

Who said I was dissing it? Just passing on what I was told at the time.

Anyone can enter but I bet not every one who does is able to go...

Bill is a sound bloke, He knows his stuff when it comes to 1.8t's. i know there not everyones cup of tea but Bill is a good tuner.

The slower car is about as fast as mine & the 9E simply drives away .
Its the second fastest car in the uk.

 

Im a goner mate as regards reactions will be near 70 by the time we run . But its got to be done I wish to hold that record on my own being second fastest gets me a lot of stick from lads that have never been over 150 let alone over 200mph .
At 60 was about 2/3mph slower than Mark exactly the same as Ade who didnt run as fast as Mark at Brunters either. Mark was a brain dead idiot on these runs.
When ive run & hopefully run past 210mph then im open for others to drive as the record should be pushed near 215mph. Thats beyond my capabilities im afraid.
