Default Help with transit throttle

Hi Folks, sorry this isn't very exciting but i have a fault on my 55plate 280swb transit that is driving me mad.For the past 6 months every now and then the throttle would stick at around 1500-2000 revs turn off ignition and all was ok,this got worse until i put a brand new ford pedal on 3 weeks ago all fixed until tonight. Now it is sticking again but a quick tap on the pedal seems to fix it this time so is this new pedal faulty or should i look elsewhere
Cheers Spot

Had a similar thing on a Peugeot van.

Was the coolant temp sensor failing, engine was going to high idle thinking it was cold.

you need to take some live readings mate, no good guessing really.

pedal voltage should be 0-100% and the correct voltage rising at the same time
