Looking at an escos but its on a q plate...

1. Does this reduce its value
2. Are there any dodgy reasons why it would be put on a q plate apart from it being reshelled like he said.

it will massively reduce the value
doesn't make it a bad car
it could be on a Q plate for many reasons, 1 being a reshell so its possible

Depends on the condition mate, if it is a really clean car then 8k on a q is not bad. Tatty thought or a tired example then 8k may not be such a bargain.

 

after eight years I would stick with what you know rather than an unknown car and unknown history, mines been delivered, a couple of small faults that iv been soughting but done now.

 

If its on a q plate and even if it was once stolen or resheld it don't really matter now the fact is its now leagle but yes will be worth a lot less and the headrest part is getting insurance so get a few quotes before you buy it

 

I wondered about this too. Just not sure I fancy a Q plate car.

 

Also not sure if you can but look into putting a privet plate on it if you can

 

you can't put a private on a Q plate

 

Why would insurance be higher for a q plate????

 

It may be that fewer insurance companies will cover them so those that do charge more. Certainly worth checking.
