poke it with a screw driver he said it wont be to bad!!

ford and there wisdon of putting some stickin stone chip shit on the sills, proper moisture trap and the carpeted rear arch liners!

my 2001 focus due mot on monday!

get new sill skin on monday .passenger side ok apart from rear arch surface rust. both inner rear arches have exactly the same rust behind the arch liners.

Lol you want to try poking at a 1988 rs turbo! Where the drains are inbetween the panels and Ford used soggy sponge as sound deadening :cry

im a ford man through and through and love my focus but its piss poor really

my mate has a 51 plate berlingo it has no rot at all even with paint missing around arches.

I remember phoning up about a ka that was for sale before and asking if there was any rust on it, his reply was 'mate, they are made with rust already on them' lol

I love my fords but they fooking rust.The wifes focus has rusty arches.There sills on hers look ok.The first job I did to hers when we got it back and that was remove the rear inner arch sponges lol.

my sills looked ok till we poked the bastard you could'nt see the rust it was hidden by the underseal spongy shit!

Don't know why but 5 door Focus' seem to rust REALLY badly, yet the 3 doors aren't bad.

Never seen the sills go on them though (yet), especially like that. I have a 3 door shell I'm restoring with 103k on it and thankfully all I've found is some light surface rust around the arches and some in the engine bay, easily cleaned out.

my best mate and his dad did it for me. They have had plenty of years restoring classic cars and repairing my old heaps lol , His dad did the welding ect and my mate did the paint. out of an aerosol aswell!
