Rich ,,FFS dont use 25 year old wheels , they had a life span when new and have well passed the date and are NOT fit for road / race use anymore

Buy new ones remade by AGS wheels ( they made mine for my Caltex )

Many people like Paul Smith ( owner of the labatts car ) and Jim whelan ( I com car ) both use ardens wheels , and there using them on race cars that are being used in the race series

Unless magnesium which I understand could well be past their best wouldn't ally be absolutely fine now?

Surely image or compomotive or any number of others could also make centre locks couldn't they?

Hello Paul. Fair enough but not sure if my budget is gonna go as far as new ones!
Do this AGS wheels have them in stock or do they have to make them? Also do you do the adapters for these?

I have the castings all done just waiting for machine time then the first lot will be done ,
I found a bloke that had a load of genuine bbs inner and outer rims so I brought them ,so I can build up a few sets.

I did speak about this years ago. But some of the people that were interested did have the cash , now I am in a position to do them for myself ( as I am after 2/3 sets ) so I have.
I also have a couple of people that also are in a position for a set or two now .
I am only making a setting amount and once that's done I prob won't bother
Again as this is more of a personal project rather than a money making one.
There not mag so they won't go all crudy after a few years

Mk adaptor are £700.

Just spoke to him Paul, seem like a nice bloke.....

but 3k for mag wheels, £2750 for alloy

+ the hubs(he didnt say how much these where)

90mm nuts £500

90mm socket and troque wrench £500ish

Plus tyres + pins incase the wheel comes loose, gona cost well over 5k

I might of spent £2500-£3000 but £5000+ think ill stick with four 17mm nuts

I got a set of image 17" centre locks i will be looking to get shot off soon, you will need to trim the front arches a bit which is why i never fitted them on my 500.

I have got to have a bit turned out the centers of the fronts of these so they fit the adaptors again as to had 1.5mm taken off the back face to try and get them to fit without rubbing. After a remeasure i could see i wasn't going to get enough off so got the dog with them and they are still sat next to my mates mill.If i was to find a nice set of normal splits this may help get me motivated to get them done.
