Hi guys,
Thought i would pop on and make a few notes about participating on a rolling road shootout day with us.
First of all, make sure the vehicle is safe and sound. If the vehicle is capable of running up the motorway to the rev limiter in 3rd and 4th gears, it will be capable of running on our rolling road - but there are still sensible precautions to take.
More details on that here.
http://www.motorsport-developments.co.uk/Rolling_Road_Preparation.html
We will open up the workshop and make available outside a tyre pressure gauge / inflator. We advise tyres are inflated to full load motorway pressures for your Dyno runs. This gives the most accurate and consistent results and least tyre wear. The most important thing however, is that all driven tyres are equal pressures. Remember, if you do inflate them for your runs, please deflate them to correct pressures again afterwards.
We would advise you to drive the car round the block a minimum of 30 minutes before your run if the transmission and engine are likely to be cold. The lubrication system on your vehicles transmission works best when hot. Also, try and have the engine itself up to temperature just before you give her to us for running... It minimises warm up time and, thus, waiting time.
If your car has traction control, a post it note on the speedo telling us how to totally defeat it can be very handy indeed, just in case it's one we don't remember.
We usually want to run the cars in a Certain order to save time if possible. I.E. all Focus together, all Lancer together etc. we can advise in this more once the final list of cars is in.
By default we will monitor air fuel ratio on at least one tailpipe for safety and give printouts of power and torque as well as boost and AFR. We will also print all correction data out so you can prove there was no tampering on your runs. If you want something specific, please ask, we can access most things, including OBD data-stream so if its easily achievable without causing too much of a hold up, we will be happy to supply it.
Most clubs / groups want us to use Dyno Dynamics shoot out mode so that the results can be compared with any other Dyno dynamics unit in the world and to allow us to give you estimated flywheel power and torque instead of at the wheels. If you would rather us run in some other mode - please tell us, it's no drama, but we must know BEFORE we run the vehicle.
We offer full HD 1080P videos of your run on a reusable brand new 1GB USB drive for £10. If you want one, we MUST know about it before your run as its filmed from three angles (front off side, rear off side and live graphing screen) and that's during your three runs. If you ask us once the runs are over, the only way to get a video is to pay to run the vehicle again.
I think that covers it, but any questions just ask away, I am here to help.

If anyone's interested in the video option, this is how we produce them.
On the USB key they will be full HD 1080p of course, not low res youtube format.
We are also installing 9 full spectrum lighting tubes Monday so the light rendering should be a LOT nicer than you see here.

Awesome weather, good turn out and no issues.
Car made a healthy 242bhp at the wheels, 286 fly.

Already have a Tubi ready to go on, need to pickup this bracket from BJunky or whoever to spin turbo and do the relocation of filter.
