poly's seem to waer out fast on the rear beam mounts
solid feel best for spirited driving and lasy forever and a day
standard prob give the nicest drive

Unless I was racing I would go standard, I have had 3 cars with solid and poly bushes and they all squeaked and clonked at some point, I greased them regularly but always went back to noise.

Mine is on solid mounts and I was very surprised at how good they were. Nowhere near as harsh as I expected. I'd choose them every time now.

i would say a decent diff mount is more important than the beam mounts, as that is where 90% of the movement will come from
for road use i would probably say use poly all round, however, mine is on solid beam mounts and a solid supra diff mount, and it is far better than i was expecting, you do get some more noise and vibration but its not excessive.

Just put solid beam mounts and an msd diff mount on mine, the difference over the old standard stuff is amazing (although it was all quite tired)

Vibration through the car is nowhere near as bad as I was expecting, I would recommend this set up everytime over poly mounts

Assume you mean poly bush the front end of the car? And not the rear trailing arms? That's a move backwards over the standard bearing setup.

Maybe that's what I need then! I've changed everything on the front (ball joints, bushes and rack) of my saff but it still wanders all over the road. When going round a corner it feels like the back try's to overtake the front and even though the suspension is quite low and hard I think it feels like it has a bit too much body roll

Makes a big difference doesn't it!

I put the solid beam mounts at the same time as changing the diff mount and was amazed at the difference!

I might put some poly arm bushes in now to fuck it all up??

Lol yes bud replace them good old bearings with some crappy bushes hahaha

Just put my car on the ramp to check my diff mount and it has some play in it. Is it a good idea to solid mount the diff? It currently has standard beam mounts but I would like to change them in the near future to solid/poly

Thanks Billy
