Default Hart inlet advantages over a spacer and standard in let.

As above, what's the advantage of running a hart inlet over a standard inlet with spacer. Other than a hart inlet look fantastic under the bonnet

I would say the plus will be , it will flow better as its more direct than the standard one , I think they look better too , also don't think its really needed until your going 500bhp or so , but it must help even with lower bhp I would think

Thanks for all the advice.
Think I might just get one as they look good as my spec won't need one.

As well as the air flow angle on the throttle body they are substantially bigger that the standard item, more air+more fuel=more power the idea behind the spacers wether they are 10 or 14mm is to give you that touch more air capacity, as with all the after market plenums they all look pretty big

nice to see people saying that they look nice people quite often say they are ugly things I like them

No just use a 4x4 inlet on a spacer. When you fit an aftermarket plenum you need to get the car live mapped unless your tuner has a map to suit but i'm sure most will still want to live map it.

If your under 420bhp i wouldn't bother your best spending the money on a more efficient intercooler or cams

I've been advised its not worth bothering with a spacer unless you go bigger than a t34
