Default sierra cossie brakes wont bleed , hard pedal ..

My saff has been sat for 18mths or so and now is almost back on the road.
Ive changed front and rear brakes ( brembo's and 4wd rear calipers ), and fitted braided hoses.
Now the rears will not bleed , the pedal is hard and cant get any fluid out.

Ive done it the correct way-
ignition position 1
pasenger side rear first etc..etc..

Had a spurt of fluid for a second or two then nothing at either side rear, so i then tried the fronts and they bled up fine.

Handbrake light is staying on but no sign of the abs light at all.
The previous owner said the abs never worked and that braking was allways crap. Hence ive gone straight to brembo 330's.

I have power at one of the pins in the main plug (large bottom one) to the master cylinder/abs acumulator thingy...

HELP PLEASE !!!

read the haynes manual, it says bleed the front left first then front right with the system de-pressurised then bleed the rears with the system pressurised and the fluid should just come out on its own.

cheers Matthew

I've tried it every way and still no joy . The hand brake light is staying on so that indicates low pressure in the system , which could be why . But how do I fix that ?
Can hear a click from the unit but that's it ...

Just done mine you need 2 people to bleed them front left front right left rear open bleed nipple 2nd person push peddle down to the floor hold down and turn on ignition position 2 not 1 pump should run allow fluid to flow for 15-20 seconds till no more air is visible tighten nipple and release peddle wait until pump turns off rear right as rear left but only depress peddle half way hop this helps.

There is no fluid being sent to the rears , the pump is not running/priming up .

Try bleeding it with engine running, failing that a pressure bleeder if the whole system has been laying dry for a while.

Engine running made no difference , Im gonna try a pressure / ezi bleed kit see if that does it. Im fearing it'll be a master cylinder/ servo /abs unit issue.

I doubt it will be your master cylinder if you are getting pressure to both your front brakes.

I thought to do the rears you have ignition on undo n/s/r then get second person too push pedal all the way down shut nipple, release brake pedal, wait for the abs to stop priming then repeat the process ?

Bought an ezibleed kit and it worked brilliantly ..... Although I now had fluid at the rears the pedal was still crap and the brakes still weren't working anywhere near how they should.

After much investigation we sorted it finally ! fucking idiot who fitted the alarm chopped into the ignition positive to the abs and power assisted brakes and caused a short of sorts . Soon as the ignition went on , it cut power to the brake servo and abs . No wonder the thing wouldn't ever stop .
