Rusty rear arches are common, also make sure it's been serviced regularly. Worn rings and stem seals are common on poorly maintained ones, as well as bottom end problems. But if it's been serviced and the oil level maintained, then they're fine. Also rear beam bushes are crap, upgrading them to polybushes is a brilliant idea. In all, they're a fun little car!
I use a phase 2 model as my daily and cant fault it, if lucky you can pick up one thats high spec with A/C heated screens and electric mirrors etc, rear bushes are weak as hell so defo go polybush route
I had a full Milltek on mine which sounded lovely at high rpm, but wasn't too loud when just driving around town etc. I'm not a fan of really loud deep exhausts on Fiesta's, doesn't suit them.

Thanks Man Yer I have to agree one of my mates has a full miltek system on his and I do love the sound of it and doing my research it looks like the best option for me personally.
