For the last few days when driving slow and coming to a stop there's a whine coming from the rear end, it sounds as if a tyre is rubbing when driving but by jacking the car up putting it in gear seems to be the diff but can't pin point where the noise is coming from?
Any suggestions? The diff is apperently an lsd
Problem after f***ing problem with this car now
Cheers
The diff oil level is good what next?
with the car on the ground the n/s driveshaft has side to side movement and the o/s is solid, its hard to find where the noise is actually coming from
help
Sounds like the cv joint, any difference when turning? Didnt you smack a curb a while back? Was it on the side with play in the shaft?
I can only really tell when slowing. smacking the curb was on the o/s, the one with no play in shaft. Only noticed the sound after fitting camber shims.
New cv joints or just buy a drive shaft for the n/s ?
make sure it's a legit 7.5 cossie diff, they have larger shafts and larger cv's and are 2wd cossie specific so don't shell out any money until you know for sure
