Bmw E46 right signal flashing fast?
Asking for a mate, he's got the big car light on the dash showing a bad bulb on the drivers side rear lamp.
When signaling right it will flash 5-6 times fast then return to normal, only does it on right signal and if you press the hazard light button the effected right hand side seems to work fine.
So the only thing that's effected is the right turn signal. Had the rear indicator bulb out and its all clean etc and even tried a new bulb but it makes no difference.
I know this is a common fault on E46's after a google but its saying the grounds can burn out but there's no signs of burns on this one.
Anyone else had this? I know there's a lot of BMW owners on here.
Cheers

Probably like the old fords with a bad earth somewhere, could even be at the front of the car as its all the same circuit.
Check the actual female pins that contact with the board to see if there's any poor connections.

Hi,
Had the exact same thing happen on my 330D just after i bought it. I think i had knocked the rear cluster thing that held the bulbs in putting something in the boot (bulb was also fine). Messed around with that a bit and its been fine ever since.
Probably just a bad connection somewhere as mentioned.
