Default Taxing a car with no logbook(only new keeper green slip)

So if you have just bought a car and only have the green new keeper slip am i right in thinking all you need is this slip, MOT, and insurance cert? does anything need to be filled out or is it just those 3 items, hand over the money job done?

I only ask as its someone else that will be doing it on my behalf.

Yep 100% can but sometimes the bint in the p/o will ask you to write the new keepers name and address on the green slip although I have no idea why, sometimes they stamp it and then you cant use it again but sometimes they dont and you can.

You can also tax a cat c car that requires but hasn't passed a VIC check yet on the green slip (which I deliberately put in my reply so people can tell me I'm wrong)!!!!

That's exactly what I was wondering too, I didn't bother writing it in but if they ask then I'm sure my dad knows my name and where I live good ole dad!

Will be fine but you can only use the green slip once to tax..
Never had my logbook come through so tried to tax for a second time with the slip and they refused to do it.. Had to drive all the way to the DVLA office to get it sorted out
