Default Mikalor clamps

Do you any of you peeps use the mikalor exhaust clamps? If so how do you rate them compared to standard U clamps?

I need to fit a mongoose system to my zetec turbo cabrio project.

Mikalor exhaust clamps are supposed to be pretty good, their boost hoses are pretty awful though!

They work fine if the pipes are a snug fit into each other, and all exhaust hangers secure and in good order

They arent as strong as a conventional U-clamp though if you really need to squeeze them up. But they also dont damage the pipe the same way a U-clamp does.

I've just fitted them up to my cossy rebuild last month and I have to say they feel like they are really struggling to hold it tight, the bolt feels like it's ready to snap......

I got the full W4 clamps, all stainless inc bolt....

i've used them and very happy with how tight they hold.
even as boost hose clamps i had no issues, but the pipes were snug to the pipes in the first place and beaded where possible.
now chewing the exhaust pipe is brilliant when they tighten up, U clamps really do make it hard to slide pipes out due to deformation sometimes.
