Default mercedes sprinter help/info needed

56 plate Mercedes sprinter 315 van
wants to over heat , changed the cap but no different checked for blocks ,
looking like a head gasket but seems no one has ever had this with the model/year of van
has anyone here had or fixed or have any info on this problem on this van ?

Did you not see the FORD sign on your way in lol....
On a serious not do a smell/compression test if it is all ok then it could be fans, thermostat or air lock to clear an air lock run engine up to temperature with cap off and heaters on full blast.

lol better off with a ford its not my van its my brothers (my van is the old 5cylinder type ) and yea compression test I recon would be a good way not sure if hes tried that , checked for air locks and alls fine , the heater blows really warm , not sure but I think he has changed the thermostat too , just thought I would see if anyone on here had came across it with this van as a guy from Mercedes said he has never seen a problem like this on one of these vans

If heaters are only getting warm and not hot I would of thought airlock or problem with thermostat but compression test is way forward

the heater is burning warm like the thermostat is not opening fully , but as you say will need to do the compression test and go from there will let everyone know the out come incase anyone comes across the same problem
