Default FOR SALE: VW Golf 1.8 20v Turbo, Superchip/decat etc-- £995

Hi guys,

Just purchased my Wife a Mini for a new Daily so i am putting the daily i bought for her to get about in up for sale!, we purchased it 8 years ago and it has been nothing short of perfect! the car has done 164,000 miles, we have owned it 8 years and bought it on 80,000 miles, i have always serviced it on time and it has a full service history, the car drives faultless!

The car:

1999 (v) VW Golf 1.8T (20v)
164000 miles
Full service History
Cambelt, Metal impeller waterpump, and clutch all done at 100,000
Air con
Electric windows
Power steering
Recaro seats
10 months mot
4 months tax
Superchip fitted, decatted, (cat will come with it) and a k+n panel filter is fitted

The private plate will not be going with the car and it will be sold on its original wheels, the bodywork is very tidy with only 2 tiny trolley dings, i recently had the front and rear bumpers painted to tidy the car up and a new boot as it had rusted badly around the handle.

Its a shame to sell it as it really has been spot on!, the only things i can fault is it has a ABS light on and the drivers bolster has sagged a bit
Goes well enough and has suprised a few newer "faster cars"
Any inpection is welcome, its a honest car,

I will get some more pics up when i have valeted it,
Car is located in Bristol BS5

Looking for £995

It would be the 150bhp model .. These engines are good for 200k + with good servicing!!

Hi, its the 150bhp model but has had a superchip fitted and a decat/panel filter, goes well enough for what it is, always serviced by me bang on time.

What engine code? AGU?

Very strong motors these, 164k is nothing. There are quite a few stage 2 mapped cars with 250k and still going strong.

Yup AGU, the cars been the most reliable car we have ever owned, shes had it 8 years, done 3 track days in it and still used it every day, only thing i have ever had to change is discs and pads, tyres, a cambelt/metal impeller waterpump and a clutch!

Well thats a good selling point then as the AGU is the preferred engine
as it has higher compression and the large port head.
