mondeo st200 remaps
hi everyone,
i have a mondeo st200, and i have had to remove the egr valve,
now the ecu keeps storing a fault code that it is not sensing egr gas flow, (although it is not bringing the ecu light on)
is there any remaps out there that can compensate for the egr valve not being there.
i have tried speaking to various re-map "specialists" and they either dont know and cant find out or say they dont do one for my vehicle even though they list it on there website.
any help would be appreciated,

An ST200 shouldn't have an EGR valve as EGR valves are only used on modern diesel engined Mondeo's, what symptoms were you getting with the car before you took this valve off, and where was the valve located that you took off?
Oh ok lol, after some searching apparently yes they do, so my mistake lmao, I always thought it was diesels that had them as a mate has one on his ST TDCi, I don't have one on my 220 but it is a slightly different arrangement to the 200.
In that case I would suggest replacing it rather than removing it and trying to compensate for it, there's a used one on ebay at the moment, might be worth trying and see if it sorts the problem first, it's there for a reason.

As far as I recall theres the vac valve on the manafold but on the same side lower down theres a sensor, the one that is feed gas from the EGR pipe maybe you could keep flow to this but not have the EGR dump the gas to the manafold if not just get it working again
Yep,mine definatley has an EGR valve, blocked mine off stopping it dumping into the manifolds and mucking them up full of gunk.Did mine and cleaned the manifolds at the same time,it certainly made a difference, revs much cleaner/crisper now once the vct kicks in.
Gonna be selling my ST200 very soon, stonking example to,if anyone knows of anyone after one, this really is a beauty.low miles, low owners etc.
Thanks.Lee.
