how is the new gearbox?

 

It ran pretty well yesterday I knocked 1.99 seconds off my PB so it's down to 51.14 now which was still only good enough for 4th place I need to find another 2.5 seconds to beat Robert in his 996 GT3.
The gearbox is brilliant! I'd recommend a close ratio box to anyone that wasn't out for anything other than out and out top speed.

Shelsley Walsh next weekend which should suit the big boost 3 Door slighty more than than the rest of the class (fingers crossed proabably be proved wrong )

2.5 secs behind a 996gt3 is pretty respectable rich .it must be pretty hard keeping it on boost the whole time around the twisties .

how do they compare weight wise ?

 

Not sure on weight the GT3 isn't standard either it's runing 420 bhp and 295 888's on the rear and 235 888's on the front it's a very formidable car.
His last run of the day was only 100ths of a second off the class record which has been held by a Dodge Viper for the last 3 years.

I'd love to run anti lag just so I could get out of the corners that little bit quicker and launch control so I could get my 64 foot times down.

It's too bad at all mate much better with close ratio box now it's a GTX3076 with a Tial SS 0.82 V-band exhaust housing

I'm gonna see if i can fit 235/40 17 kumho V70s all round on my Saff

 

The other 911 in my class and Dave Parr in his 3 Door both run on Kumho V70's

time to get them arches stretched rich ,for some fatter rubber mate

 

I can go 255 on the rear without any further arch work as I had 2" chopped out of them but I meed 9" wide wheels to fit the 255's and only a bit more work to fit 235's on the front.
This may happen later on in the season money permitting.

you prob did fella, he lives not far from there.
