Firstly BIG THANK YOU to Russell a.k.a. 'The Guv' a.k.a. 'A16iRHD' who came round the weekend and whilst I pretended to be helping, actually probably was more of a pain
Anyway he made a massive effort in taking a hell of a lot of bits from my car, and now its time to get it advertised and get my garage empty.
Firstly the Shell, its an early Y Plate shell, Sunburst Red in Very Good Condition, this isn't your usual eBay rubbish, this car was unfortunately only broken due to value of parts, It was highly modified, and as seen countless time modified does not make nearly enough when sold complete.
The car had a Series1 Bodykit on it, I have removed one complete side and there is nothing shocking lurking underneath, having had this fitted myself around 5 years ago and car being garaged for my entire ownership of 8 years. So the sills have 6 or so very small holes from where the side skirt was screwed.
The only small thing worth mentioning is some slight corrosion where the front anti roll bar bolts up to the front panel, obviously a bit of a water trap, but it not like hanging off or anything.
ADDED - Also forgot to mention to anyone thats already read this, the front panel was cut out to allow a large intercooler to fit along with the pro alloy radiator I had as well as twin fans
Rest of the shell is fantastic. Can try and take pictures if required but currently shell sitting on 4 bread crate wheels as all running gear has been removed, and if your deadly seriosuly interested then I'm sure you would be wanting to come round and spend some time going over it yourself.
I have a folder full of history that will go with it, the floor number is present and all correct, this is a very original shell.
I'm looking for £1250, this will include doors and door glass and tailgate and tailgate glass, and windscreen, or can take an offer for just the shell, or for shell plus more items if required. Price might seem high for a shell, but after speaking to other people that have been around this model for a long long time, they believe this is a fair price.
I'm in no rush to sell anything I have, have just moved to new address with a double garage, and not in any rush to get a new toy quite yet, so happy to hold on to items for a deposit should someone maybe not quite be ready to get anything.
A Few other bits for now, I have a lot more but ideally be good for the shell to go and I can then spread everything else out and get some decent pictures and work out what can be posted and what can't etc, Below is collection only for now from CM6 1XA, 10 minutes from Stansted Airport.
Anything specific please ask and I'll see what I got.
Description from "A16iRHD" who is very well known in the scene
"For those that might be interest in making a purchase I did give the shell a corrosion investigation starting from the rear
The bottom of the rear panel and lower quarter panels all ok with one very very small repair to
O/s inner corner and invisible to the untrained eye , both complete rear chassis rails are good and the rear towing eye still attached firm..
As stated both outer sills have a couple of holes in and would be a very easy repair if you didn't want the arch kit fitted, rear inner sills and the floor pan which joins the outer sill are solid.
The chassis number is in the floor, still fully legible with the original grey paint around the number.
All bulkhead, inner wings, outer wings and front floor at the bottom of the bulkhead are solid with a small repair to the n/s frt with only the crossmember requiring attention and this only became visible then the crossmember was removed. Date and ford stamps are still visible on the frt wings
Both the chassis and paint tags are on the front panel.
Good solid 16i are becoming increasingly difficult to find in this condition and if you are looking for a shell then I would like to say that it is defo worth a view and worth every penny, you won't be disappointed..and I'm sure Lee will even make you a cup of tea on arrival"

I have seen this shell very recently, well it was me who helped Lee to get it to this position and can vouch that the shell is in very good condition..
Starting from the rear I did give the shell a corrosion investigation

Hope this helps to give people a guideline to the cars condition
