iv seen this one a few times. the escort that crashes backwards at last corner of combe i was there watching from roughly same position as camera. the lap before he tried to drift that corner and went for it again but got it very wrong. he went backwards into the gate with no tyres on it. it a seriously strong lock on it cos it didnt open. if it did it would have wiped the marshals out behind it.

 

He is known as the 7 sec ring king.

 

On the vid of the rs4 at combe, I was sitting in the pearl white audi s2 in the pitlane with a mate waiting to go out.

The car was a courtesy car, wasn't even the person borrowing it driving, he'd leant it to his mate and it got smashed up. They'd been clocked at high speeds on the way down and the threads on audi sites got took down shortly afterwards over it all.
