My mates do detailing and if your wanting to get in to it, expect to spend big money.

If your just wanting to clean your car, don't bother with it all. As I wash my car with bucket sponge, some £1 car wash, £1 tyre shine and I have some autoglym polish and it comes out very good........ When I can be bothered lol

I think detailing is good and impressive but expensive.

I've seen one of those karcher foam guns in action and they perform pretty well compared to a more expensive one. At the end of the day it's £15 so you are hardly looking at a re-mortgage. Go for it glenny babes!

I have either that one or one very similar, came with 5ltrs of pH neutral foam liquid, use about an inch in the bottle with hot water on FULL thick foam Ive done my mk2 focus and my girlfriends Fiesta twice then pumped the left overs over my Dads work van. Mine was £35 posted and one of the best things Ive ever bought.

Brass fittings, fits my Karcher well. Cant fault it.

I've got that one too. Works really well. Some people think you need to cover your car in shaving-foam-thick suds, but that's not the point of snow foam. If you do your own car from time to time it's perfect. If I was a pro valeter I'd get one of the big capacity fancy ones, but for me the Karcher one is ideal. A full bottle (water and snow foam mix) easily does two cars, so it's easily big enough.

Its a mix between both mate ... The suds have to be just right in order to soften and lift the debris and gravity does the rest if right.. Really thick is pointless and not enough is pointless.

If the foam is to thin ( like milk ) it runs off to quick, it needs to be a certain thickness so it can dwell, you can adjust the one i posted so you can get the perfect thickness you want.
And its not just the lance,my kranzle pressure washer foams far better than my nilfisk pressure washer with the same foam lance, the nilfisk no matter how much you adjust it you cant get it as thick and when using my kranzle.

There were 2 types of karcher one. The original was gash and non adjustable. The newer type is much better.
I like mine and it foams nicely.

Funnily enough I snow foamed Cherie's Fiesta ST today and mucked about to see how much foam I could get on it.. (hence the over-spray everywhere )

..using >Magifoam snow foam mix< and >cleanyourcars lance<

I left it dwelling for at least half an hour - it stayed stuck pretty well before I rinsed it off - hardly needed a shampoo after to be honest, but I did anyway etc etc..

I've always thought the longer it dwells, the longer it has to "eat" the muck and gently slide off (making sure it doesn't dry on obviously). I left that for about 35 minutes I think before rinsing it off and it took most of the crap since last November with it; Meaning I wasn't pushing too much grit over the machine polished paintwork when I shampoo'd it afterwards.
