hey guys...

new to all this upgrades. i have a fiesta mk4 1.3 8v 1999 model.
has zetec wheels on and rest is standard. i want to pum an engine
in my car looking at a 1.7 puma engine or if anybody out there noes
a better engine to put in please say so. as iam new to all this
what do i new from the puma engine and what else will i need to get for
it to slip in and iam away. will be putting full springs and shocks to keep car handling up to scratch.... any think else you think i can do to my car. i.e show me websites with parts and maybe a step by step of fitting would be great if you have time. many thanks Jay

 

I've just done the Puma conversion and i can notice the difference in power, I had the 1600. Todo this i bought a Donor car. Pretty sure you need the Engine, ECU chip and loom, left hand mount, Mani and cat and MAF. It also depends on if you have a 2plug or 3plug loom. Sure someone else will quote me if I'm wrong. dont need the exhaust manifold or cat there all the same also the diffrence is easy to tell with the 2 plug and 3 plug you dont even have to look in the fuse box just look at you clocks and if the millage is digi then you need the engine bay loom from a digi puma 1.7 and if its in anglog then yep you gussed it you need a puma anglog loom. 9/10 on your cars year you will need the anglog loom from a puma 1.7 pre 2000 and a gearbox everything esle on the engines are the same bar the engine bay looms and gearboxs...
