Anyone ever raised an Escort or make an Escort Ghia Seeka replica?
Hey guys.
I'm trying to find out for a mate of mine if anyone ever raised an Escort instead of lowering it. He would like to do it with his '98 Escort estate. Reason for this is that he went nuts about the Escort Ghia Seeka i showed him.

He would like to raise it about 40 mm. Any of you guys have any idea how to do this? If it works i will put up the pics here.
Thanks, Peter.

I would look at rainSing the shell on the subframe. Ie put spacers under the front subframe and rear beam mounts then cut the shock turrets out and weld them in lower.
Also space down the engine. This will keep centre of gravity low and the drive shafts at the correct angles

Id be gob smacked if thats how it was done, you'd be lifting the car shell up but gaining no clearance at all, what would be the point?
Id guess it has longer struts/springs and possibly cobled together longer bottom arms, its ford dont forget.
The racing puma was cobled together crap also, extended bottom arms to create stance, they wernt developed, they were chucked together and for the car above that didn't get produced did it?

Thanks for the tips guys. I've passed them on to my mate.
@Kevin: Nice to see you here, just had a peak at your video's on Youtube. You're giving me a headache mate. I wasn't going to put a bigger engine in my Van but seeing yours I'm getting jealous! So i think i'll be going RS2k too in the near future. Great job you did there mate!
As for the Seeka: It was a prototype, seems to me Ford let something slip that could have been a hit. This was before the X3's, X5's, XC90's and all the others were put out.
