Default Varley Red Top Batteries

What do you do to keep yours in good condition, what works and what doesn't?

Is a solar charger any good over the winter? Does it need a specific charger conditioner?

Shall I rig up a charge from my daily to keep it topped up?

What do you do and what about cars laid up for the winter with no use?

Get yourself a battery optimiser mate, keeps it in cood condition.
I bought a oxford oximiser for my redtop 30 and it kept that charged over winter etc.
They are used for keeping motorbike batteries in good condition too.
