As an all rounder for me it would be 530/535d. Literally tick all the boxes.

Where abouts in Ayrshire you from? My mate in Darvel is selling his 08 plate S3 in white. It has the MMI stereo, flat bottom steering wheel and the Recaro buckets. It is MINT. It was running 340bhp, but all the stuff was removed, all that remains is the map, should be 300bhp. He had it up for 16 I think but he told me the lowest he'd go is 15. He paid 23 grand for it! I'd love to buy it but my right foot can't be trusted

I have a 535d M Sport that's been remapped and my brother in law a 335d, you won't get more bang for your buck than them!

My 535d will scare most motors to a ton a kill a lot of things it shouldn't... Plus I'm at thr diesel pump once, yes once, a month only and it's my everyday car! Simples choice.

And

£15k will just scrape an '06 RS4 saloon, although add another few grand if you want lower miles. Lot of car for the money...

Find another couple of grand and drive a hard bargain and you could pick up a Mk2 Focus RS.

thanks for the ideas so far, tonight will be spent on the net searching!

i would rather buy something a tad older with good miles etc than the cheapest available better car if that makes sense!

save some more and look at Audi S8's.
just been out in one, it's so smooth, but you are flying before you realise, V10 is the one to get, bit expensive on parts though, carbon ceramic brakes aren't exactly cheap!
