I've bought a mk3 combi resto so thought I'd do a resto thread.



I've done a cossie brake conversion.




Had some bits polished gonna start building the engine up.

Alternator bracket

Little update, got all the engine back together and in, just waiting for my custom engine mount to be made Monday and wire it all in

i mentioned in ur other thread about this car, without a response but i wasnt being funny about it.... i thought a combi only came in a mk4 form, i no of one mk3 converted to combi with the panels, im sure a few others may have been also.... but as far as i knew they were only as an estate in mk3 shape. is it combi on logbook or estate? just for information purposes as regardless of ansa its still an awsome car n will be watching the build thread!

 

Would love a Combi Van! A guy I know is building a Cossie engined one, should be good once done!

 

Ill have a log tomorrow when I pick my logbook up tomorrow from my mate, it looks to me like its a conversion but the panels must be factory ones as the panels are proper jobs.

 

I'm trying to find the engine info at the moment as its been quite modified, at the moment I know the reg of the fiesta it came out of and I know it's been bored out. I've got in contact with the bloke who built the engine but I'm just waiting to here back.

 

Took a couple of pictures today, will get it out side take a few when I get time, I'm quite liking te green moss on it, I might try keep it on.







I know the wheels ain't everyone's cup of tea but I think they look alright oh and there cheap

 

Did a bit more, put the s1 kit on t see how it looks





Turdblower arrived from eBay and for once its better than described.



So had it polished and fitted it up.

lookin real good mate!!! that turbo looks uprated to me, wot was the info on it wen u bought it? any uprated turbo iv had has a long shaft like that, normal dont tend to!

 

Yer I thought that how do I find out. To be onist I was so happy that it came with no play what so ever and a bargin £51. Finally something was actually described correct on eBay which makes a change.

 

absolute steal of a bargain mate!!!!!! ther shud be a plaque on it, company name and serial number.... shud be helpful!
