Default Sierra Floor Replacement

We have a saph cos that is losing its battle with the tin worm, rather than chasing around in circles we are thinking of replacing it all. Are sierra floors still available new either from ford or as pattern parts? If so how much would it cost roughly to have one replaced with sills etc if the car was stripped to a shell including painting?

Any info would be great

They aren't available from anywhere sorry to say. For my XR4X4 I made home made panels and just made sure They are well protected.

i know what you are saying but regardless of how good the shell it could come back with the same problem, at least if you replace the floor sills etc yourself you know its been done right. To be honest part of it is we enjoy working on the cars and plus its a pretty special shell with a bit of history so it would be shame to get rid of it

Good effort there, I can relate to the sentimental value and enjoyment of doing it yourself. Although not in the same bracket you have to look at the dedication and work people put in to restoring Mk1 & 2 escorts, so it's entirely your choice.

Is it the front floor sections you need or what parts exactly? Can you post photos? Your other alternative is to find someone breaking a car and see if they'll cut part out for you. New panels can be had for anything, it's just a case of time and money waiting for them (and knowing where to look).
