Spotted the same one mate, I'm also in the market for a FRS but need rid of the escort first due to only one garage space! Good luck, you'll prob have one before me!!!!
You should get it for a few pennies less that Ł9k if it actually a good striaght car when you get there - I've no reason to say it's not! Point out the wheels could do with a refurb, should get you a bit off the price!

seems a little overpriced...word of advice (from a FRS owners of 4+ years)
see a few....there are huge variations between one persons view of good nick and another
dont be put of by mileage....i bought my car with 95k on it when it was only 5 years old, its been 100% reliable
personally i would buy one with mods as it will save alot of cash, i bought mine with gen II stainless exhaust bluefin and it saved me alot of money. if you can find one with AP's then that will save you Ł1800 alone

Im more just looking to get one in as good as a condition i can too be honest rather than buying it on performance parts fitted.
certainly not looking for a concourse car as it will get used in the rain etc but as i have a van for work it wont be getting used all the time either.

the cars with 70-80k will probably be better than some with 20-30k as they are used regularly.
it is a bit of a lottery with frs's though
normal failures:
chargecooler pump
water hoses
inlet manifold hoses
thermostat housing leaks
rust on front and rear arches (and sills in some cases)
stonechips to front, and lower bumper damage
if you are concerned about resale, make sure car has full service history, both sets of keys, leather RS wallet, mats are a bonus as they are hard to find. look for one with few owners, and check the history is consistent, all mots, original sale receipt. dont be put off by resprayed fronts (paint is soft)
If i was you id hold out for a while, bargains do come along. Dont be put off by some of the cheaper options when they do come up for sale i picked mine up for a bargain price end of last year with a load of spares and a folder full of mods. i think people assume cheap ones have problems, i believe they are just realistically priced in most cases. My friend just picked up one with circa 60k and immaculate for Ł6300.

Yeah as pee vee said the prices are all over the place mate, you got category cars asking big money, good honest cars realistically priced, then just over priced cars, dont get me wrong some of the higher priced cars may be nice but realistically wont sell unless someone wants the exact spec of the car thats for sale.
What sort of price range are you looking at ?
