what are your thoughts on these?

 

havnt seen one since the early 90's lol

 

nearly put one on my 84 mk2 golf back in 1997

 

my mate had one before on his mk1 golf and it sounded lovely..popped and everything, i know they probs suit the older cars just wanted to know what people thought of them

 

oh and i wanted the one with the adjustable sound

 

These are now being remanufactured from who ever makes them.

I saw them at a car show recently and was like having a flash back from my old MK2 days lol loved um, fuckin loud though

 

lol i can remember my m8 fitting one to his vw polo it caught every speep hump pmsl

 

I bought a cheap xr2i with one on a few years back. got shot ASAP for a normal exhaust as it did my head in and made me feel ill at motorway speeds.

Loud..

 

If its too loud I class it as chavy, you wouldn't see any of my cars sporting one.

 

Cherrybombs are feckin awesome, on someone else's car anyway..

 

I still have a pair of these welded onto straight through pipes that were on my v8 capri, they were a good muffler in their day but cant see how they would suit any modern cars as they are way retro, I only removed mine in the 90s to get the car through a MOT at the time, the modern eqiv is the japcan

 

Bit of a hijack here, what are ashley exhausts like? Are they just noisey?

 

+1 they sound crap. Halfords used to sell these from memory, so yes totally chavtastic.

 

ashley are simply budget exhausts with a fancy tailpipe

 

ive had a few years ago, they were loud back in the daqy.

 

I had 1 fitted to my first car was very load I thought it was gr8 aged 17 lol there for sale on eBay

 

Oh and a m8 had 1 fitted to his mk3 escort estate only had 4 gears goin down the motor was rediculas
